To provide a technology for retaining a position of a bottom rail after adjusting a height position.SOLUTION: A height adjustment device 1 for a bottom rail of a solar shading device includes: a cylindrical winding shaft 30 extending along a shaft line X, for having a cord used for operating a solar shading device 1 wound thereon; a cylindrical shaft support member 20 that houses the winding shaft 30, formed to support the winding shaft in a rotatable way around the shaft line X, and extending along the shaft line X; and at least two engaging parts 40, 50 provided between the winding shaft 30 and the shaft support member 20 and separated from each other in a direction of shaft line X.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 12
