To provide a building member in which liquid such as rainwater adhering to the surface can easily flow smoothly.SOLUTION: There is provided a building member 1 constructed with a surface 12 facing in a direction crossing the vertical direction. A lower projection 3, two upper projections 3, a lateral groove 4 and an inclined groove 5 are formed on the surface 12 of the building member 1. The two upper protrusions 3 are arranged above the lower protrusion 3 in a horizontal direction crossing the vertical direction. The lateral groove 4 is formed between the lower projection 3 and a position portion 3 corresponding to the upper end of the lower projection 3 in the two upper projections. The inclined groove 5 is formed between the two upper projections 3 and connected to the lateral groove 4 at its lower end.
