To provide a tide embankment which comprises both high earthquake resistance and strong tsunami resistance, which has reuse property against repeating tsunami, and which can secure further higher safety even though a severe load such as a load in a giant earthquake, a load in huge tsunami, and a superimposed load in an aftershock and a huge tsunami wave force applies.SOLUTION: A tide embankment comprises a plurality of groups of support piles also used as tide barriers which are formed by integrally joining support piles 2 also used as tide barriers that are for both a tide barrier structure and a support pile structure and that become a basic structure skeleton common to an upper structure and a lower structure with each other by joints 10 to continuously arrange, in which neighboring groups of support piles also used as tide barriers are connected by water cutoff joints 20 having water cutoff property, pressure resistance, and relative displacement followability.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
【課題】巨大地震時荷重、巨大津波時荷重、余震と巨大津波波力の重畳時荷重といった厳しい荷重が作用したとしても、高耐震性及び強耐津波性を兼ね備え、繰返し襲来する津波に対する再使用性を保有し、より一層高い安全性の確保を可能にする防潮堤を提供する。【解決手段】防潮壁構造及び支持杭構造の双方に兼用で上部構造及び下部構造一連共通の基本構造躯体とした防潮壁兼支持杭2を互いに継手10で一体に接合し連続的に並設して成る防潮壁兼支持杭グループを複数備えるとともに、隣り合う防潮壁兼支持杭グループを、止水性、耐圧性、相対変位追従性を有する止水ジョイント20により連結する。【選択図】図7
