To provide a water closet enabling visibility and operability of a blackout manual operation part to be improved.SOLUTION: A water closet 1 of the present invention has a toilet bowl body 4, a water supply unit 28, a drainage socket section S provided on the downstream side of a drainage trap part of the toilet bowl body, a socket opening and closing part 70 to open and close an inner flow channel S1 of the drainage socket section, a blackout manual operation part U to manually conduct a cleaning operation in the toilet bowl body during blackout, and a cover member 44 that is detachably disposed so as to cover a lateral side of the blackout manual operation part. Blackout manual operation parts U1, U2 have holding parts 52, 72 that are manually operated and a storage part V0 that is disposed on a lateral side of the toilet bowl body and stores the holding parts so as to be pulled out. The holding parts are configured to be stored in the storage part covered by the cover member during standby and protrude outside the storage part when the cover member is removed during a blackout operation.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
