To reduce data traffic to a cloud server for analyzing image data of excrement.SOLUTION: An excrement management system according to an embodiment collects and manages information on excrement, comprises a toilet bowl in which a bowl part for receiving the excrement is formed, a light emitting part for applying light toward the inside of the toilet bowl, a light receiving part having an image sensor for receiving the light, a cloud server and an edge server for analyzing light receiving data received by the light receiving part, a first communication device for transmitting the light receiving data to the cloud server, and a second communication device for transmitting the light receiving data to the edge server. The cloud server determines characteristics of the excrement by analyzing the light receiving data. The edge server determines whether or not the light receiving data can be transmitted to the cloud server by the first communication device, by analyzing the light receiving data.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
