To provide a roof structure and a method of attaching a cover that facilitate work of attaching the cover.SOLUTION: A roof structure according to an aspect of the present invention is provided with a cover, which comprises: a first roofing material; a second roofing material having an effective surface of the first roofing material arranged on one side in a first direction; a top plate covering the surface of the second roofing material and at least part of the surface of the first roofing material; and a return portion arranged on one side in the first direction of the second roofing material. A dimension in the first direction of the top plate of the cover is at least 1.5 times the dimension in the first direction of the effective surface of the second roofing material that does not overlap with the first roofing material.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
