To provide a core material for constructing a wall body and a construction method that enable efficient erection.SOLUTION: A core material for constructing a wall body is embedded in a cement-based material before the cement-based material filled in a wall hole hardens. The core material for constructing a wall body comprises: a steel material portion 20 extending in one direction; a cuttable portion 10 connected to one end of the steel material portion 20; and a weight portion 30 attached to the steel material portion 20 and extending in one direction A1 at least on the opposite side from the cuttable portion 10 of the steel material portion 20.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
