To provide an asphalt finisher that improves construction quality of a road surface.SOLUTION: An asphalt finisher comprises a tractor, a hopper installed on the front side of the tractor, a conveyor that transports paving materials in the hopper to the rear side of the tractor, a screw that spreads, across the width of the vehicle, the paving materials transported by the conveyor and sprinkled on the road surface, and a screed device expandable in the width direction of the vehicle, the screed device spreading the paving materials sprinkled by the screw evenly on the rear side of the screw. The asphalt finisher is configured to change rotating speed of the screw on the basis of information about the moving direction of the asphalt finisher when asphalt finisher moves by the tractor.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
