To provide a cutter mounting method which enables efficient and short-time mounting of a cutter onto the protrusion of an upright iron frame column at an optimal position.SOLUTION: This invention is a method for mounting a cutter which cuts a protrusion 25 projecting on an iron frame part 24a of an upright iron frame column 24. A cutter 21 is constituted by a magnet-type mounting jig 22 for mounting guide and a cutter body 23, draws a perpendicular line to the upper side along the protrusion and draws a horizontal line along a horizontal direction to the perpendicular line to position a mounting jig center plate 34 at a proper position on the perpendicular line, to magnetically fix the iron frame part along the horizontal line, and to engage an engagement bar 35 of the cutter body with an engagement recess 32 of the mounting jig, thereby further magnetically fixing a rear mounting part 37 on the iron frame part so that a mounting board 41 may run in parallel with the horizontal line.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 13
