To provide a dwelling house that takes account of zoning with ease of usage for occupants.SOLUTION: A dwelling house comprises an entrance zone 1, 10 provided with a main entrance 11, a habitable room zone 2, 20 provided with habitable rooms 21, 22, a backyard zone 3, 30 adjacent to the habitable room zone and provided with a plurality of non-habitable rooms accessible from the habitable rooms, and a stairway zone 4, 40 provided with a stairway 41 for moving from an entrance floor to other floors and connecting at least two zones among the entrance zone, the habitable room zone, and the backyard zone. Zones adjacent to each other can be accessed freely, and the plurality of non-habitable rooms are placed side by side. The backyard zone has a first passage continuing in an arrangement direction of the plurality of non-habitable rooms. The stairway zone has a stairway and a second passage located immediately before the stairway and constituting an upward entrance or a downward entrance, and the first passage and the second passage are placed side by side.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
