To grant a user a degree of freedom in timing for calling an elevator, while obtaining an effect which is equal to or greater than conventional technology.SOLUTION: A remote control system comprises: determination means which determines whether a riding car is stopped or is ascending or descending; specification means which specifies at which floor the riding car is currently located; reception means which receives a call request for the riding car; movement means which moves the riding car to a call floor according to the call request received by the reception means; detection means which detects a change in an object in a detection area triggering an automatic door to unlock; the object which is positioned in the detection area; reception means which receives an unlock command signal for the automatic door transmitted from a remote location; and control means which changes the object if the unlock command signal is received by the reception means.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
