To improve the degree of freedom in the constitution of a vehicle door supporting member provided with a brake.SOLUTION: A vehicular door supporting member 1A includes a brake 11 for applying a rotational resistance to a spindle 12. The brake 11 includes a rotating member 31 disposed in a first housing space 27 and coaxially fixed to a connection shaft portion 12a of the spindle 12, and a load member 32 disposed on the outer periphery of the rotating member 31 to apply a rotational load to the rotating member 31 through sliding of an outer peripheral surface 31b of the rotating member 31. Inside a housing portion 7, a second housing space 28 is provided closer to a first end 7b side than the first housing space 27.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
