The Colorado Division of Parks and Outdoor Recreation is seeking a $589,000 matching financial grant from the Land and Water Conservation Fund program to acquire 402 acres of land known as Roxborough Park for the purpose of establishing a new state park. Future development plans include trails for walking, hiking, horseback riding, a visitor/interpretive center with parking for 100 cars and some designated picnic sites. Included in the 402 acres is a corridor connecting the main park area to the Pike National Forest. Environmental impacts are discussed.
