Upgrading of Interstate Route No. 280, Through Oregon, Ohio
Construction and addition of the following safety features to Interstate Route No.280 through the City of Oregon, Ohio, is proposed to meet current safety standards: provide median barrier; reconstruct berms; flatten ditch slopes; resurface pavement to provide smoother riding conditions and to strengthen pavement; construct new guardrails; upgrade traffic control items such as signing, pavement markings; provide highway lighting; revise the geometrics at Navarre Avenue interchange by eliminating the southbound on-ramp and the northbound off-ramp to Starr Avenue; and construct additional one-way service roads. The adverse environmental effects include diversion of approximately four acres of land to highway purposes and the displacement of four families, two from frame dwellings and two from mobile homes.
