The Fourth Action Year of the District of Columbia Neighborhood Development Program: Downtown Urban Renewal Area
The proposed actions are urban renewal treatment activities to be carried out to the Downtown Urban Renewal Plan for the District of Columbia's Fourth Year Neighborhood Development Program pursuant to the Downtown Urban Renewal Plan. The actions provide for: the addition of land use and building controls respecting land to be designated for disposition for redevelopment for government and institutional use; the designation of a site of one-half acre in Square 488 for acquisition, clearance, and disposition for redevelopment for the construction of a new fire station by the District of Columbia Government in conjunction with a municipal office building; and the designation of a site of one and one-half acres in Square 449 for acquisition and clearance only. Environmental impacts and adverse effects are discussed.
