Morrow Point Dam and Powerplant Foundation Investigations: A Water Resources Technical Publication
The purpose of this report is to allow the Bureau of Reclamation to share its technical findings--in a new venture--with other technically interested parties. Both the thin-arch double-curvature concrete dam and the underground powerplant at Morrow Point represent firsts for the Bureau. A variety of concepts and methods were introduced in foundation investigation, and extensive rock-testing programs coordinated with one of the most extensive geologic investigations ever made by the Bureau are being completed prior to the design and construction of the features.
