The report describes the proposal for the construction and operation of a new main lock at Pickwick Landing Dam in Hardin County, Tennessee. The environmental impact of the proposed action involves the excavation of some 2.7 million cubic yards of earth and rock, including some 450,000 cubic yards of dredging, the disposal of the excavated material on low-lying land near the lock, and the placement of about 425,000 cubic yards of concrete. Environmental impacts are discussed.
