Archeological Investigations at Fabbri Memorial, Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor, Maine
In the fall of 1983, research, archeological survey, testing, and mapping were conducted at the Fabbri Memorial, Acadia National Park, in response to proposals for development of visitor facilities at the site. During field work a number of structural remains, features, and artifacts were found; these relate to an early 1800s home or farmsite, a late-19th century summer home converted to a country club, and a Navy radio station extant from 1917 to 1935. The site has been declared eligible for the National Register of Historic Places.
