Stabilised Compressed Earth Block Production
This chapter deals with the manufacturing aspects of stabilised compressed earth blocks (CEBs). Selection of soil and some field tests are illustrated. Production of CEBs using manual machines has been dealt in greater detail. Detailed analysis of CEB production through activity network diagrams generated from the time and motion studies has been presented. Details of different types of machines to produce CEBs are provided. Analysis of toggle mechanisms and the machine design details are dealt in greater detail.
