The invention discloses a cement clinker calcining method. The method utilizes a predecomposition dry method cement kiln technology and comprises a raw material grinding process, a preheating system preheating process, a decomposing furnace decomposition process and a rotary kiln solid phase reaction process. A preheating system carries out N-stage preheating processes, wherein in raw material grinding, a calcareous raw material and an auxiliary raw material are respectively ground and respectively fed, the calcareous raw material is fed into the preheating system and is preheated, after N-1 stage preheating processes, the calcareous raw material is fed into a decomposition furnace and is decomposed, the decomposed calcareous raw material is fed into a Nth stage preheating process section of the preheating system, then is fed into a rotary kiln and undergoes a solid phase reaction, the auxiliary raw material is directly fed into the Nth stage preheating process section of the preheating system or into the tail part of the rotary kiln and then undergoes a solid phase reaction with the calcareous raw material. The method can reduce energy consumption, improve a yield and clinker quality, can flexibly adjust a decomposing furnace temperature suitable for different raw material characteristics, prevents preheater scaling and reduces head coal and total coal use amounts. The method is suitable for popularization and utilization in the field.
