The invention provides a method for edge covering and filling of an expansive soil roadbed with an octadecylamine-ardealite composite curing material, and belongs to the field of geotechnical engineering. The method comprises the following steps: preparation of an octadecylamine-ardealite composite curing material, determination of the grade of site expansive soil, preparation of modified repair soil, and edge covering of an expansive soil roadbed. The top and the two sides of the expansive soil roadbed are subjected to edge covering through the steps, and a roadbed top edge covering layer and a roadbed side edge covering layer are formed. The roadbed expansive soil is modified through resource utilization of a large amount of solid waste ardealite, on one hand, the problems that the ardealite is low in utilization rate and large in pollution can be effectively solved, and on the other hand, the problems that an expansive soil roadbed is long in construction period, high in cost, poor in long-term stability, poor in water resistance and the like can be effectively solved.
