The invention belongs to the field of building construction equipment, and discloses a single-wheel reinforcing steel bar binding robot which comprises a main body module, a driving module, a left-right balance flywheel, a front-back balance flywheel, a visual navigation module and a mechanical arm module, the driving module comprises a single grooved wheel driven by a motor to walk on a reinforcing steel bar, and an annular groove of the grooved wheel is buckled on the reinforcing steel bar; the left-right balance flywheel achieves balance of the robot in the left-right direction, the front-back balance flywheel achieves balance of the robot in the front-back direction, the visual navigation module shoots relevant conditions of a steel bar grid in real time, and the mechanical arm module is arranged on the main body module and completes binding work of steel bars. The single grooved wheel hub motor is adopted for driving, the grooved wheel has the centering and positioning functions, and the single grooved wheel makes direct contact with the reinforcing steel bar, so that the single-wheel robot can adapt to the straight or bent state of the reinforcing steel bar on the reinforcing steel bar, can normally walk on the reinforcing steel bar in different states, is good in passing ability and cannot be disengaged from the reinforcing steel bar.
