The present invention discloses a porous brick preparation method, which comprises: conveying high-phosphorus hematite tailings, kaolin and bentonite into a high-speed centrifugal jet mill according to a certain ratio, crushing into particles with a particle size of 48 [mu]m, uniformly mixing the obtained particles and fly ash to obtain mixture powder, adding water, stirring for 30 min to obtain a mixed slurry, placing into a mold, carrying out vibration molding, standing for 3 h, demolding to obtain a brick billet, carrying out standing curing for 2 days, drying for 2 h at a temperature of 450 DEG C, placing onto a pad plate through a vacuum adsorber, conveying the dried brick billet and the pad plate into a roll table kiln, and firing for 1 h at a temperature of 1200 DEG C to obtain the porous brick. According to the present invention, the high-phosphorus hematite tailings is adopted as the main raw material to prepare the porous brick, and is the industrial waste residue ore, such that the raw material cost is low; the preparation process is simple; and the compressive strength of the prepared porous brick is more than or equal to 25 MPa, and the water absorption of the prepared porous brick is 18%.
