The invention discloses a preparation method of a porous brick. The preparation method comprises the following steps: separately preliminarily crushing sintered corundum, compact fused corundum, spinel, magnesia, polypropylene fiber, chromium trioxide, pure calcium aluminate cement, and alumina micro powder; milling the mixture with water in a ball mill; sieving the obtained product to obtain slurry; compressing the resultant slurry till the water content of the slurry reaching 6%; putting the obtained product into a die for vibration molding; allowing the obtained product to stand for 6h; performing demoulding; drying the obtained product at a temperature range of 440-450 DEG C for 2h; putting the obtained product on a backing plate by using a vacuum absorber; and putting the obtained product together with the backing plate into a roller kiln for burning to prepare the porous brick. The porous brick prepared in the invention has advantages of good anti-compression capability, long service time, and high temperature resistance, and has compression strength reaching to more than 45 Mpa. A piece of the porous brick can be reused more than 95 times.
