Wall type friction damper
The invention provides a wall type friction damper including movable steel plates, fixed steel plates, friction members, and fastening members, the friction members are sandwiched between the movable steel plates and the fixed steel plates and consist of slip materials and mating materials, the fastening members consists of PC steel rods and nuts to fasten the movable steel plates and the fixed steel plates. The PC steel rods penetrate the long holes provided in the movable plates and the round holes prepared in the fixed plates so as to face the long holes. The nuts are jointed with the threads of the PC steel rods. Because of the relative deformation of a lower part and an upper part in the horizontal direction, the slip materials and the mating materials perform frictional sliding. The friction members are arranged at the area between two adjacent long holes in the vertical direction of the movable steel plates and are continously arranged in the horizontal direction. The fastening members are further provided with holes penetrated by the PC steel rods and flat-plate stress dispersed metal components between the fastening nuts and the fixed steel plates.
