The invention discloses a beta gypsum calcining kiln. The kiln comprises a kiln body, a reaction chamber, a heating tube, a material inlet, a material waste gas outlet, a material outlet, a heat source high temperature gas inlet, a heat source waste gas outlet, a flow guiding tube and a lifting plate; the kiln body is provided with a heat source high temperature gas and material cocurrent channel, the heating tube is a heat source high temperature gas and material countercurrent channel, a kiln body heat source channel is communicated with the heating tube through the flow guiding tube, and the kiln body heat source channel and a heating tube heat source channel form a cocurrent and countercurrent complex; and the lifting plate is positioned in the reaction chamber and is fixedly arranged on the inner wall of the kiln body, and the lifting plate is designed to be a separator plate for uniformly dividing the reaction chamber. The calcining kiln adopts cocurrent followed by countercurrent mode cycle and the above design of the lifting plate, so the kiln has the advantages of full utilization of heat energy, heat exchange time prolongation, heat exchange area increase, heat exchange efficiency improvement, improvement of distribution of the above material in the calcining kiln, improvement of the temperature field in the kiln, and increase of the contact area of the material and the heat source, so the purposes of energy saving and high yield are reached, part structures are reasonably arranged, and the making cost is saved.
