The invention discloses a method for road guardrail collision detection. A controller comprises an inner core, an ADC module and a peripheral interface; the output port of an external pressure sensoris connected to the input end of the ADC module; the output port of an external pressure sensor is connected to the peripheral interface of the controller. According to the method for road guardrail collision detection of the invention, the pressure sensor and the acceleration sensor are combined to detect the collision condition of a road guardrail, and the pressure sensor can effectively avoid false alarms caused by unreal collision conditions due to road surface vibration. A system is simpler to realize, so that the complexity of the system is simplified, and the cost is effectively reduced; under a non-collision condition, the controller only uses the ADC module to acquire the output of the pressure sensor, and the inner core is in a sleep mode, so that the power consumption of the system is reduced, and the controller is suitable for application occasions of battery power supply.
