The invention relates to a road-rail dual-purpose steel rail abrasive belt type grinding wagon. The road-rail dual-purpose steel rail abrasive belt type grinding wagon comprises a frame, a road-rail switching system, a steel rail grinding system, a carriage, a cab, a front wheel pair and a rear driving wheel pair; the road-rail switching system is arranged in front of the grinding wagon and comprises a connecting base, a supporting chassis and a butt joint shaft sleeve. The steel rail grinding system is arranged in a space defined by a carriage and comprises a grinding trolley frame, a frame lifting air cylinder, a grinding trolley traction mechanism, a positioning wheel train, a locking device and an abrasive belt grinding unit located in the grinding trolley frame. The frame lifting aircylinder drives the grinding trolley frame and the sub-modules connected with the grinding trolley frame to ascend and descend in the direction of an air cylinder body, and the locking air cylinder and the bearing plate are driven by the air pressure to move relatively. According to the road-rail dual-purpose steel rail abrasive belt type grinding wagon, the walking modes can be flexibly switched,the self-running time of the grinding wagon is shortened, and the available time of a skylight period is prolonged.
