The invention discloses an intelligent fire hydrant capable of serving as a civil water taking point. The intelligent fire hydrant comprises a box body, a hydraulic cylinder is fixedly arranged at thetop of the bottom wall of the box body, a lifting mechanism is arranged at the output end of the hydraulic cylinder, the lifting mechanism comprises a transverse plate, and the transverse plate is fixedly arranged on the top surface of the output end of the hydraulic cylinder. Racks are fixedly arranged on the left side and the right side of the transverse plate, straight gears capable of being meshed with each other are arranged on the front sides of the racks, a transverse rod is fixedly arranged on the sides, away from the hydraulic cylinder, of the straight gears, and a first bevel gear is fixedly arranged at the other end of the transverse rod. A first sliding block moves downwards, so that a top plate is attached to the side wall of the box body, that is, the top of the box body isopened, the fire hydrant body moves upwards along with upward movement of the transverse plate, and the top of the box body is exposed for use; and furthermore, a first conductive block makes contactwith a second conductive block, a photosensitive electric lamp is connected with an external power source, the photosensitive electric lamp can illuminate the surroundings at night, intelligent illumination is achieved, and a user can conveniently connect a fire hose.
