The invention discloses a self-propelled steel bar binding robot. The self-propelled steel bar binding robot comprises a binding device, a feeding device, a vehicle body assembly, a wheel type walking device and a caterpillar track walking device. The robot can automatically move on a steel frame by virtue of the wheel type walking device and the caterpillar track walking device which are arranged by the robot, positioning is carried out after steel bar joints are detected by a sensor, and the feeding device then drives the bundling device to be close to the steel bar joints to bundle the steel bar joints. The self-propelled steel bar binding robot has the advantages that steel bar binding work can be automatically completed, time and labor consumed by manual work are replaced, and the self-propelled steel bar binding robot is particularly suitable for binding large steel frame.
