The invention provides a formwork joint plugging tool and a joint plugging method thereof, and relates to the technical field of building construction. The problem of slurry leakage of an adjusting joint can be solved. The formwork joint plugging tool comprises a plugging strip used for plugging the adjusting joint between the ground and a formwork, and a plurality of sets of fixing assemblies used for supporting the plugging strip; the plugging strip is placed on the ground, the length of the plugging strip is consistent with that of the adjusting joint, the adjusting joint is plugged by the side, in the width direction, of the plugging strip, and each set of fixing assembly is supported on the other side, in the width direction, of the plugging strip; and the plurality of sets of fixing assemblies are all placed on the ground and further fixedly connected with a frame at the bottom of the formwork. The joint plugging method for installing the formwork comprises the steps that the adjusting joint is formed between the bottom of the formwork and the ground; the plugging strip is placed on the ground and plugged into the adjusting joint; and the plurality of sets of fixing assemblies are installed and used for supporting the plugging strip. The plugging strip is used for plugging the adjusting joint and supported by the fixing assemblies, and the joint plugging effect is effectively improved.
