The invention discloses a guiding and positioning structure and method for a steel structure column. The guiding and positioning structure comprises a guiding and positioning block and a guiding and positioning device. The three guide positioning blocks are respectively clamped on different sides of the top surface of the cup mouth foundation, positioning grooves are formed in the top surfaces of the guide positioning blocks, and the arrangement directions of the positioning grooves in two of the guide positioning blocks are parallel to the transverse or longitudinal center line of the top surface of the cup mouth foundation; the arrangement direction of the positioning groove in the other guide positioning block is perpendicular to the arrangement directions of the other two positioning grooves; the guiding and positioning device comprises a positioning frame, a guiding rod and a locking piece. The guiding and positioning structure has the advantages that the positioning and guiding mode of the guiding and positioning structure is rapid and simple, the column bottom of the steel structure column does not need to be positioned and fixed in the cup foundation, the positioning consumed time is greatly shortened, the mounting efficiency of the steel structure column is improved, the positioning precision is high, and the mounting quality of the steel structure column is guaranteed.
