The invention provides fireproof thermal insulation facing mortar, which is prepared from the following raw materials in parts by weight: 70 parts of cement, 5 to 10 parts of diatomite, 2 to 6 parts of redispersible latex powder, 15 to 35 parts of ground calcium carbonate, 1.3 to 8.5 parts of aluminum silicate fiber, 35 to 45 parts of fireproof thermal insulation filler, 3 to 7 parts of water-retaining thickening agent, 1.2 to 2.5 parts of waterproof agent and 1 to 5 parts of pigment. The invention also provides a method for preparing the fireproof thermal insulation facing mortar, and the method comprises the following steps: preparing the raw materials according to the ratio, and then uniformly mixing the raw materials. In addition, the invention also provides an application of the fireproof thermal-insulation facing mortar on a building outer wall.
