The invention relates to the field of concrete, in particular to super-retarding concrete and a preparation method thereof. The invention relates to super retarded concrete, which is prepared from the following raw materials in parts by mass: 280 to 300 parts of cement, 160 to 175 parts of water, 1000 to 1200 parts of coarse aggregate, 700 to 900 parts of fine aggregate, 1 to 4 parts of welan gum, 0.8 to 2.5 parts of ethylenediamine tetramethylenephosphonic acid, 5 to 15 parts of coco coir and 80 to 120 parts of admixture, the preparation method comprises the following steps: mixing welan gum, ethylenediamine tetramethylenephosphonic acid, coco coir and 10-20% of water to obtain a premixed solution; uniformly mixing the cement, the residual water and the admixture; continuing to add the premixed liquid, and uniformly mixing; and continuously adding the coarse aggregate and the fine aggregate, and uniformly mixing to obtain a finished product. The concrete has the advantage of delaying the setting time of the concrete.
