The embodiment of the invention provides a main shaft system for steel rail online milling and grinding equipment. The main shaft system comprises a box body, the main shaft is arranged in the base; the main shaft can rotate relative to the base; the milling and grinding assembly is connected to one end of the main shaft; the unloading assembly is connected to the other end of the main shaft; and the belt pulley is connected with the unloading assembly and drives the main shaft to rotate through the unloading assembly. The problems that the milling and grinding operation control difficulty is increased and the steel rail milling and grinding operation precision requirement cannot be met due to various forces and vibration impacts borne by a main shaft system of milling and grinding equipment of an existing steel rail milling and grinding vehicle in the operation process are solved. After the main shaft system is subjected to weight reduction design and unloading design, the rigidity of the main shaft is increased, the deflection is reduced, the rotation precision of the main shaft is improved, the whole milling and grinding performance becomes better, the milling and grinding quality of the steel rail is greatly improved, the service life of the steel rail is prolonged, and the railway operation safety is ensured.
