JOINING STRUCTURE OF STEEL PIPE COLUMN
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joining structure of steel pipe columns which is high in the transmission performance of a shearing force.SOLUTION: In a joining structure 1 of a pair of steel pipe columns which abut on each other, the pair of steel pipe columns include a first steel pipe column 2 and a second steel pipe column 3, a first end plate 4 having an opening part 5 is joined to a joining end of the first steel pipe column 2, a second end plate 6 having a salient part 7 at a joining face joined with the first steel pipe column 2 is joined to a joining end of the second steel pipe column 3, and the salient part 7 of the second end plate 6 is fit into the opening part 5 of the first end plate 4 so that an outside peripheral face 7a of the salient part 7 and an inner wall 5a of the opening part 5 approximate each other. Also in the joining structure 1 of the steel pipe columns, the first and second end plates 4 and 6 are fastened to each other by a plurality of fasteners 8 at the inside of the first and second steel pipe columns 2 and 3.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
