PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal fitting for installing a horizontal member on a guard fence that facilitates installation of the horizontal member to a support post and offers excellent appearance.SOLUTION: A metal fitting for installing a horizontal member on a guard fence is for installing a horizontal member 3 on a support post 2, and includes a pair of metal fitting bodies 1a, 1b for installing a horizontal member that are fitted on the support post 2 on both sides of the support post 2. An engaging part 5 is formed on an inner surface at a central part of the metal fitting bodies 1a, 1b for installing a horizontal member, the engaging part being engaged with the support post 2. A circular opening 4 is formed on the support post 2, and the engaging part 5 is inserted into the opening 4 and engaged with the support post. A plurality of engaging parts 5 is formed, leaving an interval therebetween.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
