To provide a beam reinforcing member which can secure sufficient movement of a welding torch with a minimum welding amount and enables a sound welding work.SOLUTION: A beam reinforcing member 7 provided on a through hole 5 for passing a pipe formed on a web 3 of a steel beam 1 has an insertion hole 4 having a diameter larger than that of the through hole 5 of the web 3 formed therein and is composed of a steel material having a ring shape. A plurality of recesses 9 which are cut from a center direction of the insertion hole 4 and specify a welding range are formed in an opening edge part 4A of the insertion hole 4. When being welded and fixed to the web 3, the beam reinforcing member is aligned and is brought into contact with the web 3 so that the through hole 5 and the insertion hole 4 have concentric circular shapes, and thereby an edge distance 8 is formed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
