To provide an architectural column material capable of preferably achieving improvement of workability in a hollow part and securing of enough strength as a column material.SOLUTION: An architectural column material 10 has four side wall plates 12, 14, 16 and 18, which are formed by connecting adjacent side wall plates 12, 14, 16 and 18 to each other so that three interior angles of 90 degrees ±5 degrees and one opening 20 are formed in a plan view. The opening 20 extends in an entire longitudinal direction of the side wall plates 12, 14, 16 and 18. A width W2 of the opening 20 is 45% or more of the maximum width W1 in the same direction as the width W2 of the opening 20 and 10 times or less the thickness of the side wall plates 12, 14, 16 and 18 located at the opening 20.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】中空部における作業性の向上と、柱材としての強度の確保とを、好適に両立できる。【解決手段】建築用柱材10は、平面視で、90度±5度の3個の内角と1個の開口部20とが形成されるように、隣接する側壁板12,14,16,18どうしが結合して設けられた4枚の側壁板12,14,16,18を備え、開口部20は、側壁板12,14,16,18の長手方向全体に亘って延び、開口部20の幅W2は、開口部20の幅W2と同じ方向に沿った最大幅W1の45%以上、かつ、開口部20に位置する側壁板12,14,16,18の厚みの10倍以下である。【選択図】図1
