To allow members such as a beam to be jointed directly to a column material.SOLUTION: A column material of the present invention comprises a rectangular steel pipe 20, a plate 30 and a weld nut 40. The rectangular steel pipe 20 has a first hole 21 at at least one lateral surface. The plate 30 has a second hole 31 coaxial with the first hole 21 and is in a close contact with an inner surface of the lateral surface of the rectangular steel pipe 20 in which the first hole 21 is formed. The weld nut 40 is welded to the plate 30 so that a screw hole 41 is coaxial with the second hole 31.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
