To provide a technology for improving convenience of residents in a living space.SOLUTION: An information providing device 50 includes: a detection information acquisition unit 61 which acquires detection information on things present in a living space including a site or an architectural structure allowing a person to live, to lodge, or to stay; a detection information retaining unit 74 which stores the detection information acquired by the detection information acquisition unit 61; and a providing information generation unit 63 which generates providing information on the basis of the detection information stored in the detection information retaining unit 74. The detection information acquisition unit 61 acquires detection information on the position of the things present in the living space, and the providing information generation unit 63 generates the providing information on the basis of the presence/absence or level of a temporal change of the position of things present in the living space.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
