To provide a water closet capable of suppressing occurrence of flow pressure loss due to separation of a flow flowing from a bent part to an inner part.SOLUTION: A water closet of the present invention comprises: a rim water passage 46 that is formed in a rim part on one of the right or left side of a bowl part so as to make washing water supplied from a washing water source pass through the bowl part; and a rim water discharge port 48 that is formed at a downstream end of the rim water passage and discharges the washing water backward. The rim water passage comprises: an outside part 56 that extends forward from an inlet part through the interior of the rim part; a bent part 58 that bends inward from a downstream end part of the outside part; and an inside part 60 that extends rearward from the bent part to the rim water discharge port. The bent part comprises a flow channel cross-sectional area expansion part 62 that enlarges a flow channel cross-sectional area of the bent part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
