To provide a renewal method of an existing pipe buried in the ground along an arrangement path of waterworks and a sewer which renews the existing pipe properly to prevent drain water etc. from entering a gap between an end of a renewed pipe and an end of the existing pipe while preventing high construction costs and extension of a construction period.SOLUTION: A renewal method of an existing pipe 1 buried in the ground along an arrangement path of waterworks and a sewer includes: a renewed pipe installation step K in which a renewed pipe 3 is installed within the existing pipe 1; and a water stop material injection step K4 in which a water stop material formed by a foam resin material is injected into a gap 13 between an end of the existing pipe 1 and an end of the renewed pipe 3. In the water stop material injection step K4, the water stop material 60 is injected into the gap 13 in a state that a tip of a water stop material injection part 61 provided at a water stop material injection device 6 is inserted into the gap 13.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
