CHUCK FOR PULLING OUT LONGITUDINAL MEMBER
To provide a technique which enables noninvasive gripping of an existing longitudinal member and easy pulling-out of it from an installation place at low noise and low vibrations.SOLUTION: A chuck detachably fitted to a longitudinal member comprises: an outer frame configured to have a plurality of split bodies arranged in a peripheral direction of the longitudinal member; a cylindrical contact layer supported on an inner surface of the outer frame, having elasticity in at least a radial direction and having a soft material in at least a front layer; and a force conversion mechanism 86 for converting, when the plurality of split bodies are connected to each other in the peripheral direction and fastened to the longitudinal member, a part of a fastening force applied to the plurality of split bodies into a radial force and applying it to the contact layer. The force conversion mechanism 86 includes a rod-like fastener 164 for fastening the two split bodies adjacent to each other in a direction inclined with respect to a tangential direction about an axis of the longitudinal member.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 19
