CHUCK FOR PULLING OUT LONGITUDINAL MEMBER
To provide a technique which enables noninvasive gripping of an existing longitudinal member and easy pulling-out of it from an installation place at low noise and low vibrations.SOLUTION: A chuck 20 detachably fitted to a longitudinal member 12 comprises: an outer frame 50 configured to have a plurality of divided bodies 52 arranged in a peripheral direction of the longitudinal member 12; and a cylindrical contact layer 40 supported on an inner surface of the outer frame 50 and having elasticity in at least a radial direction and having a soft material in at least a surface layer. The contact layer 40 includes an array of a plurality of discrete bodies 44 disposed so as to be arranged in a discrete manner in the peripheral direction of the longitudinal member 12. The outer frame 50 includes, on its inner surface, a plurality of recesses 58 each capable of partially storing a plurality of discrete bodies 44 behind them, as an array arranged in a discrete manner in the peripheral direction of the longitudinal member 12.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
