To reduce shock occurring when switching from whole wheel driving to rear wheel driving.SOLUTION: A work machine has front wheels, a front wheel driving device to drive the front wheels to rotate, rear wheels, a rear wheel driving device to drive the rear wheels to rotate, a clutch that selectively couples the front wheels and the front feel driving device, and a controller to control the front wheel driving device and the clutch. When receiving input of command to maintain rotation driving of the rear wheels by the rear wheel driving device and stop rotation driving of the front wheels by the front wheel driving device, the controller starts reducing a rotation driving force transmitted from the front wheel driving device to the front wheels. When determining that the rotation driving force becomes smaller than a determination value, or that a prescribed time passed after starting reducing the rotation driving force, the controller releases the clutch.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
