The invention provides a complementary plate of an existing overhang floor slab of a building structure and a construction method thereof. The complementary plate comprises a girth, a platform plate,a non-dismantled side plate and a concrete consolidation body, wherein the girth is mounted on the building structure and arranged below the existing overhang floor slab along the outer edge of the existing overhang floor slab; the platform plate is provided with a notch matched with the existing overhang floor slab in shape; the existing overhang floor slab is embedded in the notch; the platformplate is connected with the existing overhang floor slab through connecting ribs; the side, far away from the existing overhang floor slab, of the platform plate is in overlap joint with the girth; the non-dismantled side plate is vertically arranged on the girth, and a pouring space is formed between the non-dismantled side plate and the existing overhang floor slab; the concrete consolidation body comprises complementary plate steel bars and concrete, and the complementary plate steel bars are accommodated in the pouring space and implanted in the existing overhang floor slab; and the pouring space is filled with the concrete, and the concrete wraps the complementary plate steel bars. Through the complementary plate of the existing overhang floor slab of the building structure and the construction method thereof, the problems that an overhang structure is newly added to an existing structure, and through a traditional construction process, a frame is difficult to set up and the construction period is long are solved.
